A traditional chili con carne, packed full of flavor.
The awesome blend of seasonings in this traditional chili con carne will really tempt your taste buds! The additional spice pack allows you to create a mild, medium, or hot chili according to your taste. Leftovers of this tasty GLUTEN-FREE chili are great in burritos or taco salad!
Instructions
Rinse beans thoroughly and soak in plenty of water overnight.* Drain and rinse again.
* Time saving Tip: Rinse beans, cover in 2 qts. of water and bring to a boil for 10 minutes. Cover and let stand for 1-2 hours, drain and rinse again.
Place in crockpot or slow cooker:
Frontier Chili beans
contents of small spice packet
as much of the chili powder packet as you want
2 quarts of water
16 oz can of diced tomatoes
8 oz can of tomato sauce
1 1/2 lb. of browned ground meat, beef, venison, or elk
Cook 6-8 hours on high.
OR
Combine above ingredients in a 3 qt. pot, bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 3-5 hours or until tender.
Add salt to taste at the end of cooking.
Serve with a salad and corn bread for a simple but wholesome meal.
